Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Simpaira Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (“we”), for your use of Simple Receipt Scanner (“the app”). By using the app you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. The service
The app helps you record expenses: scan or import receipts, have AI read their details, check and save them, see summaries and export reports. You need an account to use it.
2. Your account
- Keep access to your sign-in email or Google account secure; you're responsible for what happens in your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- You can delete your account at any time (how).
3. AI results — please check them
The AI is good but not perfect. It can misread amounts, dates, taxes or currencies. Always check the details before saving, especially for tax, accounting or expense claims. The app is a record-keeping tool, not financial, tax or legal advice. Currency conversions use published reference rates and are estimates.
4. Plans and subscriptions
- The Free plan includes a monthly number of AI scans. Paid plans (Plus, Pro) include more, as shown in the app at the time you subscribe. “Unlimited” scans are subject to a fair-use limit to prevent abuse.
- Subscriptions are bought and billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store and renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time in your Google Play or Apple ID subscription settings; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds are handled by Google or Apple under their policies. This doesn't affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
- We may change prices or plan features in future; we'll tell you in advance, and changes apply from your next billing period.
5. Your content
Your receipts and data remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the app to you. Don't upload content you don't have the right to use, or anything unlawful.
6. Fair use
Don't misuse the app: no attempts to break its security, bypass scan limits, overload our systems, or reverse-engineer it beyond what the law allows. We may suspend accounts that do.
7. Availability
We work to keep the app running and your data safe, and it keeps a backup in the cloud, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We recommend exporting important records from time to time.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Otherwise, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by relying on unchecked AI results. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Changes and ending
We may update these terms; for important changes we'll tell you in the app. You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings where you live.
